Dental Emergencies
Non-urgent advice: What to do if you have a dental emergency
- If you have a regular dentist, please contact them if the emergency is within your dentists working hours
- If you do NOT have a regular dentist, Powys Teaching Health Board will provide you with emergency dental treatment if you are unable to access a regular “high street” dentist.
You can access this service by ringing NHS direct on 111 who will assess the nature of your dental emergency and provide you with the nearest centre.
Please note that this is a sit and wait service unless the clinic has an available appointment.
Non-urgent advice: Bank Holidays or During a Weekend
Powys Teaching Health Board has made arrangements for emergency dental advice/treatment to be provided during weekends and evenings.
Actual clinics operate between 09:30 and 12:30.
Patients may have to travel to either Llandrindod Wells or Newtown.
The service can be accessed by telephoning NHS direct on 111
