Due to a high number of staff absences this week, which have significantly impacted our dispensing service, the partners have taken the difficult decision to temporarily close the Llanrhaeadr Branch Surgery from 10:00am on Friday 29th May.

Our team will still be available for prescription collections between 8:30am and 10:00am.

Temporarily closing Llanrhaeadr will allow staff to relocate to Llanfyllin to support our dispensary operation following the Spring Bank Holiday weekend and help ensure medication is dispensed on time across all sites.

If you are due to collect your prescription from Llanrhaeadr on Friday 29th May and will run out of medication before the surgery reopens on Monday 1st June, please collect your medication before 10:00am where possible.

If you are unable to do so, please contact the Llanfyllin dispensary and we will do our best to help you.

To all dispensing patients, please note that due to ongoing issues with medication deliveries, we are currently having to dispense medication on the day it is due for collection.

We kindly ask for your support in helping us maintain a safe and efficient service by following the guidance below:

  • Please allow a minimum of 3 working days for all new medication orders to be processed.
  • If you have enough medication available, collecting 4–5 days after ordering would greatly help ease pressure on our teams.
  • Please do not attend to collect medication before the stated collection date, as it may not yet be ready.
  • If you normally receive a text message confirming your prescription is ready, please wait for this notification before travelling to the surgery.

Please also be aware that there may be longer-than-usual waiting times when collecting medication.

Our teams are working extremely hard under challenging circumstances to ensure medication is prepared safely and on time. We respectfully ask that staff are treated with kindness and patience during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and sincerely thank you for your continued understanding and support.
